Thanks so much Cece, when I get a little more time, I'm going to try and make my own, my kids have also wanted to know how I make something, both boys have gone to culinary cooking schools and our daughter is now starting to cook, she's in her early forties, so I have found a love for this site and plan on using it always. Again thanks.
You can also create a dedication page explaining who compiled the recipes, and one cookbook I started, said I am dedicating this to my children. So the cookbook can be very personal. If you have friends or family this would make a lovely gift, and get them to join Just a Pinch and buy one of your cookbooks. Now once your cookbook is edited and completed the way you want it, then you click on publish and then it tells you how much you would have to pay for a copy, but of course you can always download it for free and save it on your computer. For me, I love to hold a cookbook in my hands. So I hope this helps to get you started. There are still a number of steps, but you will see as you move through the steps how to do it. If I can help you in any way I would be glad to.
Happy and Joyful Baking Days ahead, Cece
The cook book builder opens up. Now these categories you can change or remove. The column has some question and answer links at the bottom that shows you how to make the changes. Also you can create your own cover to your cookbook, by clicking on the image and uploading a picture you have saved on your computer.
Ok now the fun begins and you can start building your own cookbook. You now click on the Start A New Book icon. The neat thing is you can be working on several cookbooks at once. I've got two others in the making. The ones I am giving to my children, is my legacy I would like to leave with them. They are always asking Mama how did you make that? Now they will know. Then once you click on the Start Your New Book... See the following:
Notice above MY Kitchen there is my profile, my recipe box and then cookbooks that is a little pink icon. You click on that icon and then it opens up the Start Your Own Cookbook link. See below:
Hi Jean, I am a member just like you guys who loves to ccok. Cooking is a joy and a hobby for me as well. I've been saving recipes for years, and one of my other favorite hobbies is collecting cookbooks. Now I plan to use my cookbook for personal use, but I am also creating another cookbook that I plan to give to my children. To create your own cookbook you can start off by clicking on your picture, that opens up a tab that shows your profile, etc., but also allows you to click on the pink cookbook icon that says cook book. Once you click on the little cookbook icon, then click on the icon that says start your cookbook. This allows you to start with recipes you have added to your recipe box, whether it be your own personal recipes or ones you have liked and saved. You can utilize the categories already defaulted to use for your cookbook or create your own. There is a tutorial for the cookbook, that walks you through some of the steps. You don't have to create your cookbook at once, you can add, edit, delete, and come back to it until you are ready to publish. Right now I have two additional cookbooks in the works. Have a blessed day Jean, Cece
