I began at age 5 watching my aunt, with whom I lived, make the original recipe of lemon icebox pie...the one with sweetened condensed milk. I have ALWAYS LOVED to cook. I taught my daughter (now 43) how to cook...always from scratch. I gave her all the 'reading recipe' particulars and when she cooked I would leave the kitchen. :) Today, at 71 and a widow living alone (ok now....I DO have a boyfriend of 7 years who comes around LOL) I still cook from scratch. On my blog.. tillie42.blogspot.com I wrote a blog detailing how I still cook the way I always have....my Grandma did the same.
