I grew up in a family of great cooks, where summers were spent gardening, preparing and canning fresh vegetables, and winters were spent baking treats for family and neighbors. I've lived in various parts of Appalachia and the South, and I currently reside in Florida. I love preparing my own recipes, each one influenced by regional foods and cooking styles. I won my first cooking contest ten years ago (half a dozen more followed), and I'm happiest when sharing my creations with friends.
