I live in a relatively small town, Nikiski, in Alaska. Our population is really spread out. In Nikiski "proper" we have a post office, two restaurants (in the same small strip mall), a small grocery store and a local bar. But, we have a population of over 7,000.

I retired from nursing, but I still do medical transcription from my home. It is great working at home (some days in my PJs when it is rainy or snowy), plus it gives me time to spend in the kitchen and try out some of the great recipes on this site!
