INGREDIENTS

Time: 50 to 60 minutes, partially unattended
¼ cup golden raisins
3 large eggs
¼ cup sugar, plus 1 scant tablespoon for sprinkling the pan
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
1⅓ cups half-and-half
½ teaspoon almond extract
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Butter for greasing the baking dish
One 24-ounce jar tart pie cherries, drained (about 2 cups)
Powdered sugar for serving
Ice cream for serving (optional)
