INGREDIENTS

One 9-inch pie crust

(Use your favorite recipe or, if you’re short on time, a premade frozen crust will work in a pinch. Of course, I do suggest making your own if you have the time!)

Filling:

· ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
•
· 1⅓ cups chocolate chips, divided
•
· 2 large eggs, at room temperature
•
· ½ cup packed light-brown sugar
•
· ⅓ cup sugar
•
· 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
•
· ½ cup all-purpose flour
•
· ¼ teaspoon salt
•
· 1 cup chopped walnuts, preferably roasted (as noted above, I omitted the walnuts and added an extra ? cup of chocolate chips)
