INGREDIENTS

1 lb. green beans, rinsed and patted dry

1 red bell pepper, diced

1 medium sweet onion, cut in half then cut into wedges

2 garlic gloves, minced
•
5 slices bacon, sliced (I used the precooked, less grease)
•
¾ cup chicken broth (or vegetable)
•
⅓ cup Slivered Almonds
•
1 tsp. chili powder, divided
•
1 T. butter or margarine
•
1 T. extra virgin olive oil
•
Salt and pepper to taste
