3 oz strawberry-flavored powdered gelatin (like Jell-O brand (not sugar-free variety))

3 large eggs (at room temperature)
•
1 tsp vanilla extract
•
12 3/4 oz all-purpose flour ((3 cups))
•
1 tbsp baking powder
•
2 tsp salt
•
8 oz buttermilk ((1 cup))
•
4 oz fresh strawberry puree ((1/2 cup) See Note below)
•
1 tsp powdered unflavored gelatin ((2 1/2 packets))
•
3 tbsp water (cold)
•
3 cups heavy cream (cold)
•
1/2 cup powdered sugar
•
2 tsp vanilla bean paste (or 1 tbsp vanilla extract)

1 lb fresh strawberries (washed, dried, hulled, and chopped into small pieces)

8 oz white candy coating (I like Merckens brand)
