2 C. sugar

1 1/2 C. vinegar

1 cinnamon stick

2 tsp. whole cloves

2 lb. plums (about 12), with small x cut in bud end
How To Make spiced plums

1In large saucepan mix well sugar, vinegar and spices; bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add plums; simmer 15 to 20 minutes or until plums are tender. Cool; store in airtight container in refrigerator. Will keep 2 to 3 weeks or when packed in hot sterilized jars; cover with boiling syrup, seal and process in boiling-water bath, following canning manual.
