Ingredients For vegetable soup

  • 4 lb
    hamburger meat
  • 1 sm
    white onion
  • 1 can
    diced tomatoes
  • 1 lg
    bottle tomato juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 can
    chili beans
  • 5 md
    carrots, sliced
  • 3 md
    celery stalks, cut up
  • 1/2 pkg
    frozen corn
  • 1 can
    peas
  • 1 can
    green beans
  • 1 sm
    cabbage head, cut up
  • 5 sm
    potatoes, cut up
  • 3 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 1/2 bottle
    water (tomato juice bottle)

How To Make vegetable soup

  • 1
    Brown the meat with the onions. Drain good. In an extremely large stock pot add the meat to all the vegetables (except potatoes) and pour the tomato juice over it, along with 1 1/2 bottles of water. Cook on high until it boils. Reduce heat to low and cook for 5 hours. Add the potatoes about 45 mins before finished cooking.
