Ingredients For slow cooker beef and cabbage soup

1 lbground beef
-
1 mdonion, chopped
-
3 ccabbage, chopped
-
1 cfrozen green beans
-
1 ccelery, chopped
-
1/4 mdgreen bell pepper, chopped

1/4 mdred bell pepper, chopped

1 ccarrots, chopped
-
2 candiced tomatoes with basil, garlic & oregano, (14-1/2 oz. each)

1 canitalian tomato paste (6 oz)
-
1 tspitalian seasoning
-
1-1/2 tspminced garlic
-
4 cwater, boiling
-
1 Tbspbeef base (such as minor's)

salt and pepper, to taste
-
1 cminute rice, uncooked
How To Make slow cooker beef and cabbage soup

1Brown ground beef in a skillet until cooked through; drain.

2Place beef in a 6-quart slow cooker. Add onions, cabbage, green beans, celery, bell peppers, and carrots; mix well.

3Add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, and garlic.

4Add beef base to the boiling water, stir until dissolved. Pour over ingredients in slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well.

5Cover and cook on "high" setting for 4 hours, or "low" setting for about 8 hours.

6During the last 20 minutes of cooking, stir in Minute rice. Cook until rice is done. Season with additional salt and pepper, if desired.
