Ingredients For shortcut minestrone soup

  • 4
    bacon strips
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 3 md
    carrots, chopped
  • 3 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 jar
    spaghetti sauce
  • 4 can
    beef broth
  • 16 oz
    kidney beans, canned (drained and rinsed)
  • 15 oz
    garbanzo beans, canned (drained and rinsed)
  • 2/3 c
    uncooked small shell pasta
  • 2 tsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried oregano
  • 1 c
    frozen green beans
  • grated parmesan cheese

How To Make shortcut minestrone soup

  • 1
    Cook bacon till crisp. In drippings cook onion & carrots 3 to 4 minutes till tender. Add garlic.

    Stir in spaghetti sauce, broth and beans. Bring to a boil. Add pasta, brown sugar, basil & oregano. Add green beans. Simmer and cook for a while. Garnish with parmesan cheese.
