This was my mom's recipe which originally called for 1 lb lean stew meat instead of Tasso (cut in 1/2" pieces and brown before adding). Quick and easy staple meal for the chilly evenings. 1Cut meat into thin slices. Combine all ingredients in pot including liquids from cans.

2Bring to a boil (takes about 5 mins) Reduce heat, simmer on low for 30 minutes.
