This is another great recipe for a soup mix. It's so nice to be able to have on your shelf for the days when you really need something that's quick and easy. It is all made ahead of time - just add boiling water. I like that! and great for your preparedness menu. "Potato soup in a jar is made with potato flakes and dry milk seasoned with turmeric and thyme."

Ingredients For potato soup mix

1 3/4 cinstant mashed potato flakes

1 1/2 cdry milk powder

2 Tbspchicken bouillon granules

2 tspdried minced onion

1 tspdried parsley

1/4 tspground white pepper

1/4 tspdried thyme

1/8 tspground turmeric

1 1/2 tspseasoning salt
How To Make potato soup mix

1Combine potato flakes, dry milk, bouillon granules, onion, parsley, pepper, thyme, turmeric and seasoning salt in a bowl and stir to mix. Pour into a 1 quart jar.

2Attach the following instructions: To serve, place 1/2 cup soup mix in bowl. Stir in 1 cup boiling water until smooth.
