Ingredients For potato bacon chowder

  • 8 slice
    bacon - chopped
  • 1 c
    onion - medium chop
  • 3 c
    potaoes, diced (i like ukon gold)
  • 1 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 can
    cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • OPTIONAL: SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE & DICED TOMATOES

How To Make potato bacon chowder

    1)Fry bacon until crisp in a large heavy pot. Add onion & saute 2 - 3 minutes.

    2) Pour off fat; Add water and potatoes. Bring to a boil; cover & simmer 10-15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

    3) Stir in canned soup, sour cream and milk. Add salt and pepper. Heat to serving temperature.

    4) Serve with the optional shredded cheese and tomatoes sprinkled on top.
