Ingredients For irish cabbage soup

2 mdpotatoes peeled and diced

1 mdonion chopped

2carrots, chopped

1 mdcabbage, shredded

3 cwater

1/2 tspthyme, dried

1bay leaf
-
1 1/2 tspsalt

1 1/2 tsppepper

1half and half
How To Make irish cabbage soup

1Add potatoes, onion, carrots and cabbage to boiling water. (parboil the cabbage separately for about 10 minutes if you prefer a milder cabbage flavor.) Add thyme,bay leaf, salt and pepper.

2Bring to a boil and turn down to simmer for about 45 minutes or until vegetables are tender but not mushy.

3Add half and half: heat but do not boil. Serve hot with crusty bread or rolls. Enjoy
