Ingredients For indian inspired tomato soup

  • 2 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 md
    onion diced
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1 Tbsp
    each ginger and garlic paste
  • 2 tsp
    garam masala
  • 1 tsp
    turmeric
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    indian chili powder such as kashmiri
  • 28 oz
    can tomato sauce
  • 1/3 c
    heavy cream
  • salt and pepper
  • naan for serving

How To Make indian inspired tomato soup

  • 1
    Place olive oil in a medium pot. Add the onion and cook until softened. Add the ginger and garlic paste. Add the seasonings and brown sugar. Stir well drop in the bay leaves and add the tomato sauce. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream and cook 2 more minutes. If too thick add a little water. Remove bay leaves and taste and adjust for salt and pepper.
