The vegetables were all fresh from my garden; if you do not have these varieties, please replace with your favorite variety. But please, please, please do not skip the carrot tops. You will be pleasantly surprised! Reminiscent of French Onion Soup. Feel free to load up on fresh herbs. Lovely lavender or purple basil would be divine.

20cosmic purple carrots, diced

10atomic red carrots, diced

30carrot tops, chopped

3black krim tomatoes, quartered

1german johnston tomato, diced

2 clovegarlic, sliced

5mini red bell peppers, diced

1lamb shank bone

1 Tbspsmoked paprika

1 tspcayenne

1/2 stickbutter or olive oil

1 Tbspworcestershire sauce

water to cover

1 cchampagne, optional

shaved cheddar to serve
How To Make gardeners' carrot stew

1Place all ingredients in a crock pot on low. Slow cook for 24 hours, stirring occasionally.

2Remove bone.

3Serve with a heaping serving of shaved cheddar and a sprinkle of ground oregano to taste. I recommended a freshed baked crusty French loaf and unsalted sweet cream butter.
