This is another recipe from the May 13, 1980 Woman's Day, "The Collector's Cookbook" that I found in my mother's recipe drawer. It sounds wonderful to me!!

Ingredients For curried pea soup

1 pkg10 oz frozen green peas, thawed

2 Tbspbutter, softened

1 smonion, cut up

1 clovegarlic, halved

2 - 3 tspcurry powder
-
1/2 tspdry mustard (or 1 tsp prepared)

2 cchicken broth, divided

to tastesalt and pepper
How To Make curried pea soup

1In a blender or food processor whirl peas, onion, garlic, curry powder, mustard, 1/2 cup broth, salt and pepper until smooth.

2In saucepan combine puree with remaining 1 1/2 cups broth and the butter.

3Simmer 10 to 15 minutes to heat through and blend flavors. Makes 4 servings.
