Ingredients For cream of asparagus soup

6 lbasparagus, cut into 1/4 length

1/2 lbbutter

1/2 conion, minced

1/2 cflour

1 galmilk
-
1 tspthyme, ground

1 tspwhite pepper
-
1/2 tspchicken base diluted with 1/4 cup water

1 qtheavy cream
How To Make cream of asparagus soup

1Using a very large heavy pot, melt the butter, saute the onion, and add flour to make the roux.

2Add the rest of the ingredients, except for the cream. Bring to a near simmer.

3Add the cream, bring to a simmer until fully cooked.
