Ingredients For broccoli and cheese soup

1 mdonion, chopped fine

3 Tbspall-purpose flour

1 tspgarlic

1/2 tspsalt

3 clow-sodium chicken broth

6 1/2 cbroccoli florets

1 cwhole milk

1 1/4 csharp cheddar cheese
How To Make broccoli and cheese soup

1in a lrg pot, heat the oil over med-high heat. add the onions and cook, stirring, until soft, 4 min or so. stir in the flour, garlic powder, and salt and cook for about 2 min.

2whisk slowly in the chicken broth and simmer the liquid until it thickens lightly. Add the broccoli and cook until tender about 10 min.

3Remove the soup from the heat and puree using a blender. whisk in the milk, 1 cup of the chedder cheese. serve sprinkled with cheddar cheese
