This one of Barb's seems perfect for my hubby, who loves beer, scotch, wine...LOL. Stella is my beer of choice, but you could use whatever you choose. Also, I omit the celery since I don't like it. You can add more carrot or onion if you want.

1 csliced celery (i omit)

1 cchopped onion

1/4 cbutter

1 cbeef broth

211 1/4 oz cans split pea with ham soup

12 ozstella artois (can use other beer, but this is belgian)

1Saute veggies in large pan in butter, about 10 min. Add remaining. Mix well. Simmer until beer stops foaming. Serve hot.
