    vegetable oil
  • 12 md
    onions
  • 1 lb
    mushrooms
  • 8 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 3 qt
    beef stock
  • 1/2 lb
    blue cheese
  • salt and pepper

How To Make 7 hour french onion soup w mushrooms & blue cheese

    Coat a large pot with oil. Coarsely chop the onion and mushrooms. Add to the pot. Add the garlic. Add the beef stock then add water to about 2 inches from the top. Bring to a boil. Lower and simmer for 4 hours.

    Add the blue cheese and continue to simmer for 3 more hours. Taste and adjust for salt and pepper.
