Ingredients For lentil soup

812 oz turkey sausage links, casing removed

1 1/2 conion, chopped

3/4 ccarrots, diced

1 lbdry lentils

3 qtbeef broth
-
28 ozcrushed tomatoes
-
1/2 tspmarjoram, dried
-
1/2 tspthyme, leaves
-
1bay leaf
-
2-3 tsplemon juice
-
salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make lentil soup

1Sauté sausage, onions and carrots over medium heat, until sausage is browned, 8 minutes. Crumble sausage with a fork. Add lentils, broth, tomatoes and herbs; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered until lentils are tender, 30 minutes. Discard bay leaf; season with salt and pepper and add lemon juice.
