1 1/2 lbfresh or smoked kielbasa

1 cchopped onion

2 cchopped celery

4 cshredded cabbage

2 csliced carrots

1bay leaf

1/2 tspdried thyme

2 Tbspwhite vinegar

3 cbeef broth
-
2 cwater

3 cpeeled and chopped potatoes

salt and pepper, to taste

chopped fresh dill - optional garnish
How To Make polish sausage (kielbasa) soup

1Melt butter in a large skillet, add onions, celery and sausage, cook over medium heat until sausage is lightly browned

2Pour into a soup pot and add remaining ingredients except for potatoes

3Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour

4Add potatoes and cook until tender

5Season with salt and pepper and add dill if desired
