I love tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches...especially in the winter. Since my friend Eileen gave me this recipe, I no longer buy Campbell's Tomato soup because this is so much better!

Ingredients For homemade tomato bisque (soup)

1 can28oz. crushed tomatoes

2beef bouillon, cubes

1 Tbspsugar

1bay leaf

1/4 tspdried basil

1/4 tsppepper

1 stickbutter

1/3 cflour

4 cmilk
How To Make homemade tomato bisque (soup)

1Combine first 6 ingredients in large pan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 30 min.

2In another medium pan melt butter and add the flour, blend and cook over medium heat. Stir constantly. Cook until bubbly. Add 4 cups of milk and bring to a simmer stirring constantly. Cook for 2 minutes then add to tomato mixture and blend and heat through. If you prefer this thinner, you could add more milk or a little half & half.

3Serve with grilled cheese sandwiches or crackers. The consistence of this soup is so satisfying and filling.
