Ingredients For creamy shrimp chowder

  • 1 lb
    potatoes, scrubbed clean and cubed, i used red potatoes
  • 2-1/2 c
    chicken broth
  • 3
    celery stalks, chopped
  • 8
    green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 c
    red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1-1/2 c
    fat free milk
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    fat-free evaporated milk
  • 1-1/2 lb
    medium shrimp, peeled, deveined
  • 1/2 tsp
    white pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce

How To Make creamy shrimp chowder

  • 1
    Place broth in lg pot. Add potatoes, celery, onions and red bell pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 15 mins.

    Stir in fat-free milk, gently mesh veggies w/ potato masher. In bowl, combine flour and evaporated milke w/ whisk. Add to chowder.

    Bring to a boil. Cook, stirring until thickened. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Cook, stirring until shrimp turns pink, about 3 mins.
