Ingredients For outback steakhouse aussie walkabout soup

  • 3 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt and pepper
  • 1 lg
    onion diced
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 2 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 lb
    velveeta cheese cubed
  • fresh shredded parmesan cheese for topping

How To Make outback steakhouse aussie walkabout soup

    Place 3 tbsp. butter in large saucepan. Add the flour and make a roux. Stir in heavy cream and salt and bring to a boil reduce heat and thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

    Place 2 tbsp. butter in Dutch oven. Add onions and saute until softened. Stir in chicken broth. Add the cream mixture and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and add the Velveeta. Cook until the Velveeta is melted.

    Serve topped with shredded parm or any cheese of your choosing.
