I like to make this in the summer when fresh corn is available.

Ingredients For corn chowder

  • 1 1/2 lb
    red potatoes
  • 2 stalk
    sliced celery
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 bag
    frozen whole kernel corn or 2 cups fresh corn
  • 1/4 stick
    butter
  • 1 can
    milnot
  • 1 bag
    med. shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails removed
  • salt and pepper to taste

How To Make corn chowder

  • 1
    Put potatoes, celery, onion and frozen corn in pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes and celery are done. Add butter, milnot, shrimp and salt & pepper to taste. Cook an additional 20 minutes below a simmer till done.
