conch chowder
I got this recipe when I was in Bermuda. It was good--different than any chowders I've ever had. Conch (pronounced "Conk") is tough, but chopped up makes it so tasty.

Ingredients For conch chowder

2large conchs

1 lbpotatoes

1/4 lbsalt pork

2medium onions

1bell pepper
-
1small can of tomatoes

1small can tomato paste

1 chot water

1bay leaf

2 clovegarlic

1 Tbspbarbeque sauce

1/2 Tbsppoultry seasoning

1/2 tspblack pepper

3/4 tspsalt
How To Make conch chowder

1Saute onions, bell peppers and salt pork, all chopped fine, until well cooked. Add all other ingredients except conch and potatoes.

2Pound conchs to break up tissue and chop into small pieces. Add to pot which should now be boiling. Cook for two hours over low fire. Add potatoes and cook until done.
