Sweet, spicy and savory! Don't let the amount of ingredients scare you. Many are items you already have on hand. Lindt chili bar at my store is on the candy aisle and not the baking aisle. I use a couple cubes. Can always add more. This adds heat and sweat.

Ingredients For sweet heat, chocolate chili

  • 3 lb
    ground beef
  • 1 md
    onion, chopped
  • 2 lg
    red peppers, chopped
  • 2 md
    green chile peppers
  • 6 c
    spicy v8 juice
  • 2 can
    petite diced tomatoes, 14 oz cans
  • 2 can
    red kidney beans
  • 1 can
    great northern beans
  • 4 sm
    cans green chillies
  • 1 c
    jalapeño peppers, chopped (opt)
  • 1/2
    lindt chili chocolates bar
  • 1 Tbsp
    worsttershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    garlic poweder
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    chili pepper, ground
  • 1 tsp
    onion salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    penzeys chili 9000
  • 1 Tbsp
    cumin
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 pinch
    black pepper
  • 1 pinch
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    dark brown sugar
  • 1 c
    water

How To Make sweet heat, chocolate chili

    Sauté onion and peppers in butter.
  • 2
    Add ground beef to onions mix once they have become translucent. Cook till no longer pink and drain.

    Throw it all into a crock pot and let cook on low four hours.
