This chili is amazing and has great flavor. My sons and I will only use this recipe, we tried others but this is our favorite and chili isn't just for cold winter nights,it is for anytime you are in the mood for chili. I make this alot and there is never any leftovers.

Ingredients For bush's chili bean chili

  • 1 lb
    ground beef or ground sausage with sage flavoring
  • 1 lg
    onion,chopped
  • 4 stalk
    celery, chopped(you can omit this if you want)
  • 2 clove
    garlic minced(i used garlic powder,it is what i had on hand,i used a few dashes)
  • 1 can
    30 0z bush's chili beans
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder(more or less,according to taste)
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil, for your skillet
  • 1/2 c
    ketcup,any brand will do
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper or hot pepper sauce (like tabasco or cholula)
  • 1 can
    diced tomatoes(this is not part of the recipe)i choose to add this when i make the chili

How To Make bush's chili bean chili

  • 1
    Heat oil in Skillet. Lightly brown meat, push to the side of the pan, add onion, and garlic (& celery if using). Cook until soft.

    Drain excess fat if using beef. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Simmer 30-45 minutes.

    Very good served over brown rice, white rice,noodles and as for toppings you can add sour cream,grated cheddar cheese,add biscuts or cheese bread sticks. This chili has excellent flavor!
