Ingredients For chicken broth

2 1/2 - 3 lbbone-in chicken pieces

2celery stalks, with leaves, cut into chunks

2medium carrots, cut into chunks

2medium onions, cut into chunks

2bay leaves

2chicken bouillon packets
-
1 tspchicken seasoning

1 tspparsley

1/2 tspcoarsely ground pepper

2 qtcold water
How To Make chicken broth

1Place all ingredients in a large pot. Slowly bring to a boil, reduce heat, and skim off any foam.

2Cover and simmer for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

3Remove chicken and set aside.

4Strain broth, discard vegetables and seasonings, strain again. Refrigerate to allow fat to rise and harden. Skim fat from surface before using.

5Remove meat from bones and save for another use, if desired.
