Ingredients For best barley soup

2 tspcanola or vegetable oil

1 lbboneless, skinless turkey or chicken breasts, cut in cubes

1 1/2 cchopped celery and chopped carrots

1 cchopped onions

4 clow-sodium, reduced fat chicken broth

1 cantomatoes undrained, and cut up (28 oz)

1/3 cpearl barley, uncooked
-
3/4 tspdried marjoram
-
1/2 tspeach ground thyme, ground sage, salt and black pepper

1/4 cchopped fresh parsley
How To Make best barley soup

1Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add turkey cubes and cook until no longer pink.

2Add all remaining ingredients. Mix well. Bring soup to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 30-35 minutes, until turkey and barley are tender.
