My family loves this recipe. My mom used to make this when I was growing up and we loved it as kids. Now I get to pass it along, just love old fashioned passed down recipes such as this. Hope you all enjoy as much as we do!

1 1/2 lbbeef stew meat

1 lgonion, chopped

32 ozbeef broth, low sodium

1 mdturnip, diced

1 mdrutabaga,diced

3 stalkcelery, cut

4carrots, sliced
-
3 clovegarlic, minced
-
2 canstewed tomatoes, 14 oz
-
2bay leaves
-
1 lbbeef bones, optional
-
1 ozworcestershire sauce

3 lgpotatoes, cubed

1 cancorn, undrained 8 oz
-
1 canpeas, undrained 8 oz
-
1 cangreen beans, undrained 8 oz

1 canbaked beans, 8 oz

1 cwater

How To Make beef soup

1Brown beef in a (very) large stock pot. When well browned, add chopped onion & carmelize. Add minced garlic & cook for 1 minute.

2Add beef broth and simmer 15 minutes.

3Add turnip, rutabaga, celery, carrots, stewed tomatoes, bay leaves, beef bones (optional), potatoes & worcestershire sauce to pot and simmer 1 1/4 hours.

4Add corn, peas, green beans, baked beans & water. Add salt & pepper to taste. Stir & simmer for 30 minutes.
