Ingredients For tavern soup

1stalk celery thinly sliced

1carrot peeled and sliced thin

1/4 cfinely chopped green pepper(optional)

1 smonion finely chopped

42 ozchicken broth

12 ozcan of beer @room temp

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tsppepper

5 Tbspcornstarch
-
1/4 cwater
-
1 csharp cheddar cheese shredded
How To Make tavern soup

1Combine celery,carrot,bell pepper and onion in a slow cooker.Add chicken broth,beer and salt and pepper.Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.

2Remove vegetables and puree in blender.Place back in with the broth.Turn temp up to high, Dissolve cornstarch in water,stir into pureed mixture add cheese gradually,stirring until blended. Cover and cook on high for 20 minutes. Serve hot.
