Ingredients For sweet and sour cabbage soup

3/4 csliced onions

1/2 tsppepper

1/2 tspsalt

1bay leaf

1 lbsliced cabbage

3/4 ccrushed tomatoes

5 Tbspbrown sugar

1 lbcooked brisket, cut into 2 or 3 inch chunks

1-1/2 cbeef broth

11 cwater
How To Make sweet and sour cabbage soup

1Saute onions with pepper and salt in oil. Add cabbage and bay leaf with 1 cup of water. Put lid on and cook about 5 minutes, until cabbage is wilted.

2Add crushed tomatoes and 2 cups water. Cook for 30 minutes.

3Add brown sugar, beef broth and brisket with 9 cups of water. Simmer for 2 hours. Serve hot.
