Ingredients For string bean and linguica soup

1 smonion, chopped

1/2green pepper, diced

1 Tbspbutter or margarine

2potatoes, peeled and diced

1/2 lblinguica, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 lbstring beans, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 tspground allspice
-
salt and pepper to taste
-
1 can8 oz. tomato sauce
How To Make string bean and linguica soup

1Saute onion and green pepper in butter until onions are tender. Place onion and pepper in pot with potatoes, linguica and beans. Add enough water to cover. Add allspice,salt and pepper. Stir in tomato sauce. Cover and simmer until beans are tender, about 1 hour.
