  • 1/2
    red onion
  • oil
  • 1 tsp
    ground coriander
  • 1 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1 tsp
    smoked paprika
  • 2 clove
    garlic
  • 1 c
    red lentils
  • 1 l
    stock
  • salt
  • pepper

How To Make spicy red lentil soup

  • Ingredients for red lentil soup

    Chop the onion half and fry gently in a little oil. When soft, add the ground coriander, ground cumin and smoked paprika. Crush the garlic cloves and add to the pot.

    Pick over and rinse the red lentils, add to the pot. Pour in the stock and season with salt and pepper
  • 3
    Bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes.

    Blend/liquidize until smooth. Adjust the seasoning.
