I love making my own stock. The flavor is so much more pronounced than store bought brands and much more nutritious.

Ingredients For pork stock

  • 2 lb
    pork bones
  • 1 lg
    onion quartered
  • any vegetables scraps you want to add
  • 1 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 3
    bay leaves
  • 1 Tbsp
    black peppercorns

How To Make pork stock

  • 1
    Add all ingredients to a 6 quart slow cooker Add 3 quarts of water. Cook on low for 24 hours. Strain through fine mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth. Discard solids.

    Place in a freezer safe container and place in fridge. Let it sit overnight. Skim fat off the top and store in fridge or freeze.
