My Mom and MIL love split pea soup and every time my mom bakes a ham she sends the bone home with me so I will make split pea soup and send the soup back home with them.

Ingredients For pea soup

  • 1 c
    baby carrots
  • 1 c
    white onion, diced
  • 3 sm
    potatoes, diced
  • 1
    ham bone
  • 2 c
    green split peas, washed
  • 1
    bay leaf
  • 1 Tbsp
    celery flakes
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/8 tsp
    marjoram
  • 1 tsp
    lemon tyme
  • 8 c
    water
  • 8
    chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1/2 tsp
    basil
  • 1 tsp
    lemon garlic

How To Make pea soup

  • 1
    Combine all ingredients in slow cooker. Cover. Cook on low 8-10 hours or overnight. Or on high 6 hours, until peas are tender. Remove bay leaf and ham bone and serve or freeze in individual freezer containers.
