This is a nice brothy soup, I had this soup at a local Japanese resturant .

Ingredients For japanese mushroom and onion soup

3 cbeef broth

7 cchicken broth
-
1 lgcarrot
-
2garlic cloves crushed

1mushroom sliced thinly

1 Tbspgreen onions sliced diagonally(just the green part of the onion)
How To Make japanese mushroom and onion soup

1Combine beef and chicken stock in pot.

2add carrot, onion and garlic

3Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes.

4Discard the carrot, onion and galric and strain the soup through cheesecloth.

5place a small amount of each of the green onions, mushrooms in serving bowls and ladle the broth over them. Serve.
