Ingredients For instant pot lentil soup

  • 2 c
    red lentils
  • 1 md
    onion chopped
  • 4 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 2 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    cumin
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1 pkg
    dry onion soup mix
  • 1
    lemon juiced
  • 1/2 c
    parsley chopped

How To Make instant pot lentil soup

    Add the lentils, onion, olive oil and water to instant pot. Cook for 10 minutes. Turn off pot and let sit 10 minutes then quick release any remaining pressure.

    Remove lentils from pot and place in food processor.= and add cumin and black pepper. Process until smooth. Add to a pot on the stove and bring to a boil over med high heat. If the lentils are to thick add more water.

    Stir in the onion soup mix and cook 2 minutes. Stir in the parsley and serve
