Ingredients For ham hock soup

5 clovegarlic
-
3ham hocks, about 1.5 pounds

3celery ribs (or stalks, whichever term you use)

3 mdred potatoes, cubed
-
2 qtwater
-
1 mdyellow onions, chopped chunky

1/2 stickbutter, unsalted

1/2 lbbaby carrots, halved
-
1/2 bunchchives, chopped
- SEASONINGS (CAN BE TO TASTE, THIS IS WHAT I USE)

2 tspsalt
-
1 tspwhite ground pepper

1 tspground thyme
-
1 tspitalian seasoning
-
1packet sazon goya, cilantro & tomato

1/2 tspsmoked paprika

1/2 tspwhole cumin, dried
How To Make ham hock soup

1Melt butter in large stock pot. Cook onion and garlic until onion is starting to become translucent. Add celery, potatoes, carrots, chives and water and stir.

2Add seasonings, stir.

3Add Ham Hocks and simmer, covered, for 3-5 hours.
