I don't know where this recipe originated but I asked an old coworker Ann Lorr for it. She used to bring it for lunch and it would smell so good I had to ask he for the recipe.

Ingredients For green chili stew from the palace

3 lbstew meat, cubed

3 Tbspvegetable oil

3 lbroasted green chilies

3potatoes, cubed

1 tspcumin
-
1 tsporegano

2cloves garlic, minced

1 qtvegetable broth

salt and pepper, to taste
How To Make green chili stew from the palace

1Saute the beef, which has been cut in one-half inch squares, until brown.

2Add the flour, oregano, cumin and garlic and broth and bring to a boil. Place on low heat and simmer 30 minutes.

3Add potatoes and simmer for 40 minutes more.

4Add salt and green chilis and cook for 10 minutes more.

5Serve with white flour tortillas.
