It's this simple... I started out by making garlic spinach and decided to add the bratwurst I had on hand to see how it would turn out. Wella! This turned out to be my son's and my favorite recipe for a soup!

Ingredients For garlicky spinach german bratwurst soup

  • 1 box
    spinach, frozen
  • 3 Tbsp
    garlic (diced in jar)
  • 1 pkg
    leidy's german style bratwurst (4 in pkg)
  • 1 tsp
    fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tsp
    sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 pkg
    chicken broth

How To Make garlicky spinach german bratwurst soup

    Place frozen spinach in 1/2" boiling water & cook until it's loose & hot (continue simmering)

    Add some chicken broth & garlic ingredients, salt, pepper.

    While cooking, slice the bratwurst in slants about 1/4" thick and add to pot. Continue cooking for 1/2 hr.

    Keep adding broth as you go to keep from bunching up and keep it loose
