comforting cabbage-sausage stew
(4 ratings)
Soups and stews are so comforting - especially when you aren't feeling up to par. The flavors in this one mingle well together. And "IF" you have any left over the next day, the flavors meld even better. I like to eat this in a bowl with a slice of cornbread (or a corn muffin). Don't forget to scoop up some of the juice into your bowl.
Blue Ribbon Recipe
There's nothing better than a hearty stew on a cold day. This easy cabbage and sausage stew is full of delicious flavor. The smoky sausage has a nice contrast of flavor from the mild taste of the cabbage. Tomatoes bring a bit of tartness, while the carrots add sweetness. Garlic and pepper are the perfect seasonings for this sensational stew.
