Ingredients For christmas eve soup

2 cups potatoes, peeled and diced

1/2 cup carrots, peeled and diced

1/2 cup celery, chopped

1/4 cup onion, chopped

2 cups water

1 1/2 teapoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1 cup cooked ham, cubed

1/4 cup butter
-
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
-
2 cups milk
-
8 oz. pkg. shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make christmas eve soup

1Combine veggies, water, salt and pepper in a large soup pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until veggies are tender.

2Stir in ham; set aside.

3In a separate saucepan, melt butter; stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk; bring to a boil.

4Cook and stir for 2 minutes, until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted; add to veggie mixture and heat through.
