I absolutely love this cheese soup recipe. I acquired it from an elderly lady in my hometown, and it was her homemade recipe. The soup is extremely easy to make, and it's quick. Not to mention tasty! Sometimes I like to add more cheese, but that is personal preference.

Ingredients For amana cheese soup

2 Tbspchopped onion (may substitute for 1/2 teaspoon(s) onion powder)

4 Tbspoleo

4 Tbspflour

1/4 tspdry mustard

1/4 tspsalt

2 cmilk
-
2 cchicken broth or bouillon

2 cgrated cheddar cheese (i like to use mild cheddar cheese)
How To Make amana cheese soup

1Brown onion in oleo. Blend in flour and seasonings. Gradually stir in milk and broth.

2Bring to a boil and boil for one minute, stirring constantly.

3Add cheese and cook slowly, stirring constantly until cheese is melted.

4After the soup is ready, test to see if you need to add more cheese. Enjoy!
