Ingredients For cajun hamburger stew

2 Tbspvegetable oil

1 lgonion diced

6 clovegarlic minced

6 cbeef broth
-
3 mdpotatoes peeled and diced

2 mdcarrot peeled and diced

1 Tbspsweet paprika

2 sprigrosemary
-
2bay leaves
-
1 lbhamburger
-
2 tspcelery salt
-
28 ozcan crushed tomatoes
-
6 ozcan tomato paste
-
1 Tbspcajun seasoning
-
1/4 cbrown sugar
-
2 Tbspworcestershire sauce
-
1 1/2 cfrozen okra
-
1/2 cfrozen peas
-
1/4 cfresh parsley finely chopped

salt and pepper to taste
How To Make cajun hamburger stew

1Place oil in a large pot over med. high heat. Once hot add onion and garlic. Cook until onions are softened. Add the beef broth and bring to a boil. Add the potatoes, carrots, paprika, rosemary sprig and bay leaves. Reduce heat to medium and cook until potatoes are tender.

2Meanwhile in a skillet cook hamburger seasoned with celery salt until no longer pink. Drain and set aside.

3Once the potatoes and carrots are fork tender remove the rosemary sprigs and bay leaves and discard. Add the hamburger to the stew. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Stir until well combined.

4Add the Cajun seasoning, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer. Add the okra and peas. Cook until 5 minutes. Stir in the parsley.

5Taste and adjust for salt and pepper
